FMNP Conservation Science Module
Fridays and Saturdays between June 20 – June 28, 2025 | Open to the public
Are you curious about Florida's diverse coastal ecosystems and eager to expand your conservation knowledge?
Join the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) for an exciting course in Brevard County! Gain the tools to promote conservation and educate others about Florida’s stunning natural resources. Spaces are limited, don’t wait to register!
Butterfly Celebration
June 14 | 9 am - Noon* (not 11 am) | Bring the whole family!
Join us at the Brevard Discovery Garden for a fun-filled butterfly event! Enjoy activities for all ages, a butterfly info table, and a special presentation by Sally Scalera at 9:30 AM on butterfly plants. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions about butterfly life cycles and migration. Enter the photo contest and don’t forget to visit the nursery from 10:30 AM to 12 PM for Florida-Friendly and native pollinator plants!
Interested In Growing Your Own Food?
This class will be held on four Mondays, beginning June 23rd | 10 am-12 pm & 6 pm - 8 pm. Learn how to grow your own food in your yard or containers from vegetables, fruit, herbs, microgreens, sprouts & hydroponic lettuce buckets.

Brevard Discovery Garden (BDG)
Demonstration garden open for self-guided tours | 9 am - 11 am | Wednesdays |Call for more information.
The BDG Demonstration Gardens are open to the public for self-guided tours every Wednesday from 9 am to 11 am. Volunteers will be actively working in the garden on Discovery Days and will be available to answer your gardening questions. Stop by the nursery on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 am - noon, to shop their seasonal plants for a donation. Follow the garden on Facebook below to stay up to date with what’s growing on!

If you’d like to visit in person, our address is 3695 Lake Dr., Cocoa, FL 32926. They also hold clinic hours in libraries throughout Brevard. Since this is volunteer-based, consider calling ahead to ensure someone will be available.
Brevard County Farmers Market
Every Thursday at the Regional Pavilion inside Wickham Park | 3 pm - 6 pm
Join us at the market to discover a variety of homemade food from local businesses! There are many unique products like grass-fed beef, Fresh from Florida produce, spices, honey, jams, coffee, nut butters, microgreens, edible plants, a variety of baked goods and vegan desserts, olive oil, salsas, and more! We also participate in the Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) token program! This program allows SNAP recipients to buy fresh produce and other goodies with their food stamp benefits.
